TESTIMONIALS

I learned that people
aren’t just a single story.
If you let them, they’ll surprise you. The people I met in the Academy shared the language of family, of struggle, of dreams, of service.

This Academy showed me that
virtual learning can be really engaging. It taught me about empathy and collaboration and how to speak up about topics I care about.
This is everything high school should be and more.

The experience has taught me
tangible skills to take action.
It showed me how to take steps to make the world a better place
and how to pursue my passions
in the future.

Veronika built an organization around a single idea: bringing warmth and pride to the homeless. What started as a class project in college developed into a humanitarian-based project centered around providing homeless women with a self-heated, waterproof coat that is engineered to transform into a sleeping bag at night. The coats are made by homeless women who are paid to produce them, offering economic opportunity along with pride and independence for themselves and their families.
